Accommodation and facilities

Old-school camping, where conversations flow slowly and a festive atmosphere reigns.

At Agricamping Il Piano, camping goes back to its roots: airy spaces sheltered from the sun, in the cool shade of fragrant eucalyptus trees, amidst the quiet of the Tuscan fields. The recipe is simple: few frills and a lot of heart—as big as your own.

Types of accommodation and facilities for you

  • Pitches for tents and caravans: 8 shaded pitches, equipped with electricity.
  • Campervan area: 3 pitches with electric and water hook-ups.
  • Caravan with veranda: equipped for a comfortable stay.
  • Bathroom facilities with hot water: simple and functional.
  • Pets welcome free of charge: to share your holiday with your four-legged friends.

The communal kitchen and social area

There are no Michelin-starred restaurants here, but a simple and functional communal kitchen, always open to guests. A stove, a few pots and pans, the gurgle of the moka pot warming the morning air. You can cook on your own or prepare a snack with your children: you are the chef.

Shared tables for making friends and creating new memories

The covered social area is the social heart of the farm campsite. Some people read, others enjoy a dinner cooked together, someone pulls out a guitar. Like those parties with friends that stay in your heart, everyone arrives with their own stories to tell, just to stay together for five more minutes.

Sports and recreation

Nature, sport, and freedom: your active stay on the Etruscan Coast

At Agricamping Il Piano, every day can take a different direction, but always outdoors. You can walk on cool, shaded paths or trails overlooking the sea, or get on your bike and pedal through the woods and nearby villages, like Populonia and Campiglia Marittima.

And with a 10-minute drive, you can reach Piombino and San Vincenzo, where you can play tennis, football (5-a-side, 7-a-side, and 11-a-side), and practice archery.

Mountain biking and hiking in the Mediterranean maquis

The nearby MTB and hiking trails offer a mix of natural and historical beauty. The Baratti–Populonia route crosses the Mediterranean maquis forests typical of this stretch of coast, panoramic hills, and Etruscan archaeological sites.
You can lose yourself in the ‘blue, painted blue’ of the sea, with views stretching to the Island of Elba.

Let's all go to the beach!

If you prefer the waves, Baratti beach awaits with options for all ages: SUP, canoeing, surfing, bodyboarding, a sailing school, and boat trips to discover hidden coves reachable only by sea, like the wild Cala Buia.

Horseback riding

Nearby, you can find a riding stable for pleasant horseback rides along the trails that wind through the countryside and along the coast.

Excursion to Baratti

Hiking among the Etruscans and roads overlooking the sea

You can set off on new adventures on foot or by bike, directly from the farm campsite: the beaches of Baratti are a 30-minute walk away at most.

If you love history and want to spend a few hours connecting with the customs of ancient peoples, you can visit the archaeological parks of Baratti and Populonia.

You’ll walk among the monumental tombs of San Cerbone, cross the old Etruscan iron-working roads, and climb along the Romanella, the historic road that led to the acropolis, where the remains of temples, thermal baths, and mighty walls still rest today.

And at the end of the trail, in Populonia, you can visit the small village and lose yourself among the artisan shops, where you can buy typical products as well as handmade jewellery and leather bags. Then, end your day with a lovely aperitivo overlooking the Gulf: a sight that will stay with you for a long time, until you feel the urge to return.

The Story

Home, sweet home

Born from the desire to share the beauty of outdoor life in this precious corner of Tuscany, Agricamping Il Piano has grown while keeping its original spirit intact. “Many guests return year after year; we watch children grow into teenagers and then adults, families expand, and it’s a beautiful thing for us,” says owner Marilena with pride. And this means only one thing: that here, a love for guests is truly part of the home.
