Rita and her family

From the 1950s to today, with the same values at heart

The farm was founded in the 1950s, when the Maremma Land Reform Authority drained the marshlands and assigned plots of land to farming families who had applied.
Among them was Grandfather Emilio: “My family,” says Rita, “came from the province of Piacenza, and like him, many others arrived from all over Italy, welcomed with great warmth by the local people. Those were years of enthusiasm and change — it felt a little like being pioneers in the old Wild West. In the early 2000s, my father took over the farm and created the first pitches, giving life to Agricamping Ioniti.”

Today, the campsite is managed by Rita and her family:
“We put all our energy into carrying on this tradition, sharing the spirit of simplicity and rural hospitality that has always defined us.”
