The Il Peccio Sports Area is active all year round, with facilities perfect for everyone—whether you play for passion, train seriously, or just want a friendly match with friends. From children to the over-60s, every activity is designed to be welcoming and engaging.

Padel

Two state-of-the-art courts with a draining surface, ready for play even after rain. A camera system allows you to instantly review your game—perfect for technical analysis or just for fun.

5-a-side and 7-a-side football

A synthetic pitch for 5-a-side football and a natural grass pitch for 7-a-side football matches. Both pitches are equipped with floodlights and cameras to record your games, making them ideal for tournaments, corporate events, or a casual match with friends.

Walking football for the over-60s

Walking football is a version of traditional football, designed to keep people over 60 active.
The Italian championship-winning team from Donoratico trains here. It’s an opportunity to continue playing sports in a relaxed yet stimulating way.

Sports courses for children

Introductory sports courses for children aged 5 and up, led by certified instructors. Young athletes learn technique, teamwork, and respect for the rules through fun and well-structured activities.

Tournaments and memorials

The Il Peccio Sports Area regularly holds sporting events throughout the year. From the winter 5-a-side football tournament to padel memorials, every event is an opportunity for community and healthy competition, welcoming groups, companies, and enthusiasts.
Sport & Values

A place where values truly matter

In an age where sport risks becoming all about performance and frenzy, Il Peccio was born to slow things down. Here, sport is a chance to grow, train with respect, and enjoy time together, regardless of age or skill level.

“I grew up with strict coaches and teammates who would greet each other in the changing rooms. Today, much of that has been lost. Il Peccio exists to bring it back to the game: the desire to learn, the art of the game, the dignity of play.”Federico

Every activity—from walking football for the over-60s to introductory courses for children—is designed to create a healthy environment where the rules apply to everyone and competition never overshadows good sportsmanship. Sport is taken seriously, but never to the extreme.

Federico is on the pitch every day, along with Gianni, Alessandro, and Tiziano. They know the players by name; they listen, they correct, they guide. They don’t just manage facilities: they pass on a way of experiencing sport.

Training here isn’t just about chasing after a football or a padel ball. It means entering an environment where people look each other in the eye, respect schedules, play as a team, and grow even from a defeat. Without cameras pointed at you—except for the ones that help you watch yourself back, laugh, and improve.
The Project

From a hand-marked pitch to a year-round sports centre

Federico grew up surrounded by football. A former goalkeeper well-known in the area and a former trade union representative, he left his job at Coop with a clear idea in mind: to create a space of his own where sport could be enjoyed without interruption.

“I still remember when I handed in my resignation. When I got home, I took some rope and marked out the lines for the first padel court right there on the lawn. The bulldozer arrived shortly after. That’s where it all began.”

The first pitch was created in 2017. Then came the synthetic pitch for 5-a-side, the grass pitch for 7-a-side, the pitch-side cameras, the courses for children, and walking football. Piece by piece, Il Peccio Sport became a meeting point for those who love to play with passion, dedication, and respect.

Behind the scenes, there’s also Silvia, who first transformed her family’s farm into an agriturismo with apartments, a swimming pool, and seasonal cuisine, and then championed the sports dream to help it take shape.

“The name ‘Il Peccio’ comes from my surname, Peccianti. It was the nickname I had when I played football, and when we decided to create this space, it just felt natural to call it that: simple, direct, like
everything we do here.”

Today, Il Peccio is alive 365 days a year. A place to play, to learn, to grow.
“I’m not alone. Every day on the pitch, I’m joined by Gianni and Alessandro, certified padel instructors, and Tiziano, a historic local football coach. We share the same idea of sport: to play with respect, learn together, and give it your all, even if it’s just a match among friends.”
